CT scan installed at Kabwe General Hospital

THE Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) says the computed tomography scanner (CT) scan which was procured at K13million has been installed Kabwe General Hospital and it is operational.

ZAMMSA Senior Manager – Corporate Communications, Bradley Chingobe said the computed the equipment will play an instrumental role in providing detailed medical information for diagnosis, treatment planning and evaluation of various conditions affecting the general populace in Kabwe and the entire Central Province.

“As ZAMMSA we are relentless in our quest to ensure that we procure, store and distribute adequate medical commodities that will help in ensuring that we have improved and quality healthcare services across the country,’’ Mr Chingobe said.

Mr. Chingobe said the distribution and installation is aligned with ZAMMSA’s vision to become a world-class supply chain of essential medicines and medical supplies for a healthy and productive nation. He said ZAMMSA will remain committed to prioritising the procurement of medicines and medical equipment to enhance service delivery in all public health facilities nationwide.
